Gathering at Ervin Bittner’s



 



  On October 6, 2007, the North American JAWA/CZ Register held its annual Gathering 
at Ervin Bittner’s home in West Chicago. This was his third year to host the party 
for all kinds of Czech motorcycles and automobiles, and the second time the Register 
made his party its annual Gathering. 

 There were dozens of Czech motorcycles on display; Bittner’s collection continues 
to be awe-inspiring, but others brought their bikes, so the display was truly awesome.
 There were 15 or so of the Register’s members there, and we got several new members, 
including Martin Samson, who brought quite an array of Czech bikes himself. He sent in 
these pictures which capture the flavor of the event. 

 It was a beautiful day, with temperatures soaring into the upper 80’s, wonderful food 
and loads of people to talk to, and machines to see. If Ervin will have us back, and 
I think he will, we will be there next October for the finest exhibit of Czech motorcycles 

to be found in North America! The beer was good too….
